ECLS/ECMO

Our ECLS / ECMO education and training courses are designed and taught by our content experts.  After completing our ECLS / ECMO course, students will understand the principles of ECMO, how to set up and trouble shoot an ECMO system as well as how to manage an ECMO patient.

VAD

Our Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD) Class is designed and taught by our content experts.  We can customize the education to focus on post-operative implant patient care or emergency management during a cardiac arrest.  The principles and concepts that we teach pertaining to VADs can be applied to any VAD currently available to patients. At ECMO PRN we believe it is important to understand that a VAD is one of the options your patient may have after the successful implant of ECMO.

Cannulation Techniques for Implantation

Working with our vendors we offer classes geared toward physicians for the insertion of the specific cannulas necessary for the implantation of ECMO.  The foundation of the class is based upon the Seldinger Technique and the use of ultrasound to ensure accurate and safe insertion on the cannulas.
